About Awyn Dawn

Who Is Awyn Dawn?

In 2012, Awyn Dawn found herself incarcerated after over a decade of substance abuse and addiction. She attributes the time she was incarcerated to helping her reconnect to her pagan spirituality.

After her release from prison, Awyn found a local "year and a day" class in paganism. She completed her first-degree initiation, then her second-degree initiation just over a year later. She taught many students during this time.

In 2018, she began to take a class in witchcraft and paganism into the prisons she was once at. "I always liked to say that I was teaching witchcraft to the inmates," she says humorously, "They absolutely loved it though."

When she submitted her first book idea, Paganism for Prisoners: Connecting to the Magic Within, she had no idea that it would lead to a career as an author. "Paganism for Prisoners was a labor of love, I like to put this same energy into everything I write."

Now a High Priestess, Awyn is always looking for more opportunities to help people, especially those with a troubled past, live up to their potential. "If one person reads Paganism for Prisoners and is inspired to change their life, then I shall consider it a triumph."

Awyn Dawn has a second book, Paganism on Parole: Connecting to the Magic All Around scheduled for release in November of 2022 and a book of spells expected in 2024.
